I’ll share a little secret with you… I don’t really love exercising that much. BUT I love how I feel when I exercise. The feeling of accomplishment, energy and vitality that comes from a workout is unmatched.

And it’s that feeling that drives me and my clients to challenge ourselves each and every time we’re in the gym.

Hi, I’m Mary!

Growing up on the vibrant beaches of Colombia, I was always on the move. Each day began with early morning beach walks and swimming with my parents and siblings. Physical activity was a way of life for me and my family. Though I was never involved in formal sports, I cherished the benefits of leading an active lifestyle.

Life took me on a journey from industrial engineering to finance and a move to California. But no matter the locale, the one thing that remained a constant in my life was movement. And it was that realization that led me to a career shift, into the personal training industry.

I’ve been a personal trainer for almost 20 years and have had the joy of working with hundreds of clients. I’ve helped them achieve levels of strength and vitality that they never thought possible.

I specialize in working with adults over 50 because, all too often, I hear people count themselves out and think it is too late to start living a more active life. The truth is, the best time to start is NOW and it’s always possible to change your story. I see it happen in my private gym each and every day.

Personal training is just that, deeply personal, and I’m committed to understanding and connecting in a way that draws out the very best in you. My goal is that when you leave each session, you will feel not only stronger physically, but also feel empowered, confident and proud of yourself.

    I specialize in effectively working with adults over the age of 50, prioritizing personalized care and attention to your specific goals, needs, and capabilities. I once worked with a client who had never done a squat- no problem! To slay her fears, we placed a chair right behind her, so she could sit down if she was nervous. We laughed about it then…and still do today as she confidently completes her squats.

    I emphasize understanding you beyond your fitness goals, and I am genuinely interested in and care about your full life story. The relationships I’ve built in this work is one of my favorite parts—I’ve trained the adult daughter of one of my first clients!

    I tailor each session to your needs and always meet you at your level. We begin with what I know you can do, and work towards what you want to achieve.

    Strength training designed just for you! My signature 1-1 training allows us to completely tailor your workouts to your unique needs and goals. In these sessions you have my complete attention and will leave the gym feeling like a rock star!

  • Small Group Training

    Experience the benefits of strength training in community. Small group training (max 4 individuals) provides high accountability, camaraderie and motivation to help you reach your strength and fitness goals.
